Indy Spartans Scholarship Winners

Over the past few months, the Indy Spartans Board of Directors and Scholarship Committee have been working to award $1,000 scholarships to a graduating high school senior or returning undergraduate student, from the state of Indiana, who has been accepted by Michigan State University and is enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student for the 2014-2015 school year.

We want to congratulate our two $1,000 scholarship winners for the 2014-2015 school year.

Kayla Koch

Kayla Koch, who will be returning to Michigan State for her junior year, is from Huntington, Indiana. She is off to a strong start academically as she is working on two degrees, one in kinesiology and another in human biology with the career goal of becoming a physician assistant.  She is a member of the Women’s Track & Field Team and the Women’s Rowing Team.

The money for these scholarships has come from raffle drawings at game watches, shirt sales, volunteering at Indianapolis Marathon, and personal donations.  Thanks to all that have contributed to helping these two young ladies continue their education at Michigan State University!
