B1G Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournaments

Michigan State is once again paired with the Slippery Noodle for both the women’s and men’s tournaments.

Where are our runners especially our MSU Track team alums? We are looking for runners to represent the Spartans in the Hoops Day 5K on Saturday, March 12th at 8:00am so we can bring home the team bragging rights. We are off to a good start as NCAA National Champion/Spartan grad/Indy Spartan Sara Kroll has confirmed she will be running. If you would like to join her, please register here. Indy Spartans Wine Tasting with Dr. Paolo Sabbatini

Jim Arnold, Spartan Alum and owner of Kahn’s Fine Wines and Spirits, has created a wonderful wine tasting event for us. The event will be held on Saturday, February 13th in the Kahn’s (Keystone location) private banquet room “The Kahnoisseur’s Room.” The event will begin at 6:30pm but you may begin arriving at 6pm. There will be two wine serving stations with 4-5 wines per station with a knowledgable Kahn’s employee pouring at each station. A nice selection of Artisan Cheeses, crackers, fruit, etc will also be provided. You will also receive a Tasting Sheet to help you keep track of what wine you want to purchase and take home with you.

We will have Dr. Paolo Sabbatini joining us from Michigan State. He is an Associate Professor of Horticulture and world renowned wine expert who will be speaking about the wine industry and giving us an overview of various types of grapes and wines. We will also have some MSU wines to raffle off.

The cost to attend is $25 per person (if you pay by January 15th) and $30 per person (after January 15th). Jim is also going to put all the wines tasted on sale that evening and is donating 25% of the sales to the Indy Spartans Scholarship fund. Money for the ticket(s) is due by Friday January 15th to take advantage of the Early Bird Special of $25 per person. After January 15th, the cost is $30 per person and due by February 11th. Cotton Bowl – MSU vs Alabama Game Watch

If you are not making the trip to Dallas, we hope that you will come spend your NYE with fellow Spartans at the Fox and Hound to cheer on our Spartan football team. There is no cover charge! Indy Spartans Wine Tasting

On Saturday, February 13th, we will be having our wine tasting event at Kahn’s Fine Wines and Spirits (53rd and Keystone). The event will begin at 6:30pm. Jim Arnold, the owner of Kahn’s is a Spartan alum and is working with us to create a wonderful event. We will have a special guest (TBA) from MSU attending to speak with us about the red and white wines that MSU is producing. We will also be raffling off some of the MSU wine. Spartan Central

The Spartan Pep Rally will be on Saturday from 5:30-7pm in the Indianapolis Convention Center Ballrooms F and G.  Pep Rally is now sold out! For ticket information through MSU, and information regarding other B1G Championship Events go here.

Spartan Meet Up

Come to the Slippery Noodle on Friday beginning at 5pm for a Spartan Meet Up.  Hang out with your fellow Spartans from all over the country as we get ready for Saturday’s game! It is sure to be a packed house!  Get there early and stay late! We will have this long sleeve t-shirt on sale or you can preorder it here and pick it up at the Noodle from the Indy Spartans.

MSU Basketball Game Watch

On Saturday, get to the Slippery Noodle early in preparation for the noon tipoff for MSU basketball versus Binghamton.  The Noodle opens at 10:00am. Parking lot party at noon!

Football Team Arrival at Hotel

Everyone is invited to be at the team hotel to welcome the MSU Football team to Indy.  The team will be arriving at the Westin downtown at 2pm on Friday! Make signs, wear green and welcome the team to Indy!

Join the Fun on Georgia Street
On Saturday, you won’t want to miss all of the activities at the Meijer Tail Greater Party on Georgia Street in downtown Indianapolis. Georgia Street, directly east of the Indiana Convention Center, will be teeming with action from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Game Day. The party will feature food trucks, a beverage garden, ice sculpting, a live band, merchandise, and much more to create the ultimate tailgate experience. At 3 p.m., take a break to watch the Major League Eating contest featuring Joey Chestnut and other professional eaters. Their challenge: the World Famous St. Elmo’s shrimp cocktail. 2015 Big Ten Football Championship Fan Fest

Downtown Indianapolis is the place to be before the game on Friday and Saturday. Experience the Big Ten Fan Fest presented by Dr. Pepper on Friday, December 4, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. More than 200,000 square feet of the Indiana Convention Center will be transformed into a sports wonderland with interactive games such as a field goal kick, quarterback toss, golf simulator, 40-yard dash and much more. Entertainment will include special guest appearances, mascots, team bands, giveaways and food and beverage. Entrance to the Big Ten Fan Fest is free with a Big Ten Football Championship Game ticket. Fan Fest tickets may also be purchased onsite, $8 for adults and $4 for kids. More than 200,000 square feet in the Indiana Convention Center will be dedicated to interactive games, entertainment including special guest appearances and mascots, performances by participating team bands, giveaways, food and beverages, youth clinics all day on Saturday, and much more.

MSU vs Maryland Football Game Watch

Last Saturday was a tough loss but it is time to bounce back and control our own destiny. This Saturday’s game watch is a noon kickoff. Once 20 Spartans arrive there will be some appetizers to enjoy while they last. We will have free swag to giveaway. Bring your friends and family! Hope to see you there!

First Basketball Game Watch

Next week begins basketball game watches at the Fox and Hound. The first one is Tuesday, November 17th vs Kansas. Tipoff is approximately 10pm. Take a nap when you get home from work and then come join us!

MSU vs Ohio St Football

The game we have been waiting for is a week and a half away. The kickoff time has been narrowed down to noon or 3:30pm (announced by Sunday) which means the second game watch location for this game will be the Slippery Noodle downtown.

At the Fox and Hound, the game watch will be in the big room on the left. Fox and Hound is providing a wings bar and chips and salsa for the group to enjoy.

At the Slippery Noodle, the game watch will be in the big room in the back.

At both locations, free swag will be given away. There will also be raffle drawings to benefit the Indy Spartans Scholarship Fund. Please RSVP here for whichever location you plan to attend. MSU Volleyball at Purdue
